Introduction
The research seeks to establish whether there are cure for children living with autism. It has been noted with concern that here are rising cases of autism in children and this calls for action from all relevant stakeholders; researchers, clinicians, the government, non-governmental organization, parents as well as teachers to mention but a few.
Autism refers to an intricate developmental disability that usually occurs within the first three years of human life due to disorder of neural development which affects normal functioning of the brain, impairing communication skills as well as social interaction (Bishop, 1989).
Statement of the Problem
Autism seems to affect more and more children over the time. One out of 150 births is always affected. Option for curing the disorder thus is paramount.
Purpose
The goal of this study is to find out whether there is cure for children living with autism. Similarly, the causes, symptoms and why the disorder is on the rise will also be discovered.
Significance of the Study
Will bring to light if indeed there is cure for autism, lay ground for further research etc. Research questions and/or hypotheses:
- Is there cure for children living with autism?
- What causes autism?
- Why is it on the rise?
- What can be done to curb it?
CHAPTER II
This section will define terms related to autism. Similarly materials related to autism especially those touching on causes, symptoms and option of treatment will be used to write the literature section. Other discipline notably education and as well as social economic will be focused on.
Methodology
Research design will be qualitative as well as quantitative; this will give us more insight for conclusion and recommendation to be made (Beiske, 2002).
Population and Sampling
The population of interest is those professional medical practitioners who are in a better position to avail the required information. Random sampling as well as stratified sampling will be employed to come up with appropriate sample.
Instrumentation
Questionnaires and interview will be used to collect primary data. Similarly, secondary data will be collected from reading literature on autism; these include previous research work, textbooks as well as journals.
Analysis Plan
Collected data will be analyzed using non-parametric statistics. Hypotheses will be tested at 0.05% level of significance.
Assumptions
The sample will represent the population; all questionnaires will be answered truthfully.
Scope and Limitations
The study has wider scope as it will bring to light if indeed there is cure for autism, which will make parents sort such treatment. Limited time, financial resource, low response rates are among the anticipated limitations.
Results
The chapter presents the finding after analysis of the collected data is done.
Conclusions and Recommendations
This section briefly discusses the findings of the research as well as explaining the findings. Then recommendations on the basis of the findings are made.
